Jazzing with Jo

I always wonder at times, how our lives would have been had we not had the company of friends. Our lives are like paintings hanging on a veranda wall, where each weather witnesses the beauty of every season which passes by; The magic gets sprinkled everywhere some times it glorifies the painting, stains it, washes away all the grime and dust or simple makes it look better; Be it the company of beautiful spring, enchanting autumn, breathtaking rainy season. The painting still stands there, the test of time, yet seasons like friends pass by. Yet there are some which choose to leave their mark just like the signature imprinted at the bottom of any painting. Jo, my friend belongs to the latter category. Have known her for more than 8 years, yet even if I meet her today for a coffee, we still burst into giggles, crack our silly jokes and have fun along.

Shes thin like a stick, blessed with a sense of humor that would make you laugh till your sides ache, gypsy and bohemniam taste with fetish for knick-knacks, loves to play around with her innocuous pranks, prefers to die in Jeans and Tee given a chance and never fails to enjoy what life has to offer. Our journey began while we were studying during our college days. Both of us were famous as back benchers, tomboyish and badmaash to the hilt, with the 'dare-to-take-panga' looks, and bore equal amount of hatred for Physics and the Professor as well. She was the one who taught me to live every moment and how important it is to enjoy each moment as it comes. It takes me back to college days where we had a "secret crush" on the same guy, one Mr.A, supposedly a model who spent half of his time in the gym pumping iron and by default impressing the babes. Jo, being a Table Tennis champ used to love hanging out at the gym which nevertheless used to give her a chance to admire our prince charming. I used to be dragged to the gym to accompany her for her practice sessions, and everytime we used to laugh our guts out when the tennis ball used to 'deliberately' land in Mr. A's territory. Once my heart skipped a beat when he picked and handed over the ball to me and flashed a million dollar smile. To date, we think about this moment and laugh away to glory.

Jo has very whacky and weird hobbies, which ranges from Crystal healing, Reiki, Spirituality, Yoga, Art of Living to crazy ones like listening to Hard Rock in head bang style, sipping flavoured tea, peeping out of the window everytime her cute neighbour passes by. She loves experimenting with cosmetics even it means that she wears a candy pink lipstick and I am forced to comment whether or not it suits her, or it would also mean mustering courage and proclaiming it to be a 'perfect disaster'. Our favorite timepass as friends would always be long and elaborate discussions on life, karma, people and exploring life in totality. Jo is one person who never forgets to wear her smile and lighten the world, however just last year she lost her mom. Yet, she took it in stride gracefully and still continues to cheer the world with her smile, her laughter inducing jokes.

I thank almighty for giving me a close friend like Jo and as usual yearn to spend time which in my opinion is best because its all about Jazzing with Jo!!!!!
